Mission Statement
The Langdon Elementary PTO exists to support and strengthen the educational experience of every student at Langdon Elementary School. We do this by fostering a welcoming community, advocating for our families, raising funds for school programs, and organizing events that bring our Ward 5 neighborhood together.

About Langdon Elementary School
Langdon Elementary School is a vibrant learning community located at 1900 Evarts Street NE in Northeast Washington, DC. The school proudly offers both a traditional general education track and a Montessori track for students from Early Childhood Education (ECE) through 5th grade, giving families the opportunity to choose the approach that best fits their child.
Langdon has been recognized with the Bold Performance Award from EmpowerEd for multiple consecutive years, a testament to the dedication of its educators, students, and families. As Principal Husbands says, Langdon is truly "The Pride of Ward 5."

Who can join the PTO?
Any parent, guardian, or caregiver of a Langdon Elementary student is automatically a member of the PTO. There are no dues or sign-up fees. Teachers and school staff are also welcome members.
When does the PTO meet?
The PTO holds general meetings [insert frequency — e.g., monthly or every other month] during the school year. Meeting dates are posted on our Events page and announced through our email list. All families are welcome and encouraged to attend.
How is PTO money spent?
Funds raised by the PTO go directly toward supporting Langdon students and programs. This includes classroom supplies, field trip support, enrichment activities, school events, and other initiatives approved by the PTO board. A full financial report is shared at each general meeting.
How do I get involved?
